My Own Prison
"Silence" by Wes Aldridge
Tonight I was going for a self portrait. But shooting it in my living room, with many white walls, I wasn't able to control the light enough to get the photo exactly as I wanted it. Light was bouncing all over the place and it was more or less a nightmare, even shooting at f/18.
So, here is what I came up with. It's a little strange, and duct tape is terribly uncomfortable to tear off your mouth, but it kinda works for me. And who knows, it may just become a shot used in the final product of this photoblog when printing time comes. By the way, does anyone know a publisher that is just dying to print a strange years-worth conglomeration of daily photography in the life of me? I need to find something like that because I am sure the printing cost of turning the blog into a book will surely supercede any revenue I would make off selling copies of it to friends and family. So, if you have any publishing friends up your sleeve, then shoot me a quick message.
